The program for the New York City Conference is in great shape! We have 17 plenary and 110 parallel presentations, 130 interactive poster presentations, four Roundtables, nine Exhibitor Demonstrations, 15 Thursday Workshops, the Modeling Assistance Workshop, and numerous pre and post conference workshops, sessions and meetings. The Program Overview by Thread can be viewed on the conference website. The tentative schedule (with titles and abstracts) as well as full papers are also available on The Conference Website.

The registration fee increases on June 20, please send your completed registration form to the Society office soon. More information on the conference is available from the society web site http://www.systemdynamics.org

New or updated program notes for the 2003 International Conference of the System Dynamics Society, July 20 – 24 in New York City:

A Winner:  Martin Gilljam of Norway is the lucky prizewinner of the complimentary two-night weekend accommodations offered by the Roosevelt Hotel.

System Dynamics Mini Pre-Conference at Fordham:  To be held at Fordham on Friday 18 July, 1-5 PM. For more information please contact Nicholas Georgantzas at georgantzas@fordham.edu

Dana Meadows Student Paper Prize:  This year there are over 30 student papers under review for this prestigious award! The award ceremony will be held on Wednesday afternoon.

PhD Colloquium:  Will be held on Sunday, July 19 starting at 8:50 AM.

Session Reporters: We currently have eight volunteer session reporters. Session reporters will write a brief summary of a conference session or event for the Fall System Dynamics Newsletter. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact the Society office.

Room Mates at the Roosevelt:  If you are looking for a roommate, please contact the Society office  for coordination suggestions.

We encourage you to stay at the Roosevelt Hotel. A special room rate has been negotiated to help keep the conference affordable. Sharing a room will significantly reduce the hotel cost. For example, with two people in the room, the room rate of US$166 (including taxes) will be split in half, so the cost will be US$83/person/night.

For triple occupancy the room rate of US$190 (including taxes) will be split by three, so the cost will be US$63/person/night. For quadruple occupancy the room rate of US$212 (including taxes) will be split by four, so the cost will be US$53/person/night.

The Roosevelt Hotel will transact with one person, the reservation maker. If sharing a room, please coordinate payment among the group so the hotel receives one ROOM payment from the reservation maker. Per person rates are the same whether the roommate is an attendee of the conference or a guest, such as a spouse and/or children.
